A Special Invitation from your Parent Advisory Council (PAC) Executive

Join us for our first PJ parent meeting of the school year, on October 10, from 6:30-8:30pm at PJ. We will be kicking things off with a year-in-review so that you can find out more about what is coming up and how you can get involved, and then we’ll move right into a fascinating (and short) financial update. Mme. Zielinski will then take the mic to give her principal’s update, and then we will welcome our special guest of the night, Mme. Stevenson, who will be speaking about how to support French learning from home. The night would not be complete without a wine and cheese mingler!

Note: No children are allowed in the building due to liquor license requirements. We will be offering a zoom link for those who choose to join us from home.

On behalf of the PJPAC Executive, we would like to extend a warm welcome to all students and parents returning to École Pauline Johnson, and new families joining the school. We have high hopes that this will be an excellent year. It certainly started on a high note with a spectacular turnout at our Back to School Coffee. Thanks to all who attended. Keep an eye on our calendar for upcoming school and social events.

This year, the PAC Executive welcomes some new members to our team. As Co-chairs, we are excited to introduce Claudia Chavez-Munoz (Grade 2 parent) and Barry Nguyen (Grade 1 parent). Additionally, we are pleased to welcome Jenny Cha as our Fundraising and Events Coordinator, and Olivia Zishiri as our Volunteer Coordinator. We are also thrilled to have Rowena Veylan move into the role of Past Chair, Bartek Kienc returning as our Treasurer, Vicky Rhodes as Secretary, Stephanie LeComte as our Communications Coordinator, Tayo Adeniyi as our DPAC Representative, and our members at large: Laureline Balzan (Canadian Parents for French), Ryan and Parvaneh Bruce (Cultural Community Representatives), Devika Ahuja (New Family Representative), and Nazanin Parivar and Kamyar Yazdani (Spirit Committee Leads).

Please do not hesitate to reach out to us if you have any inquiries, suggestions, comments, or any other feedback. The PAC represents all PJ parents, and the Executive is here to be your voice. Welcome, and let’s work together to make this a great year!

School supplies for next school year are now available to order through creativepacks.ca. Save time and support a PAC fundraiser when you purchase a school supplies package.

Orders are due by July 3rd to receive free shipping and delivery to your child’s new classroom. Orders placed after July 3rd will incur a shipping fee and are shipped to your home. Orders placed after August 8th are not guaranteed to arrive by the first week of school. 

Remember to select the grade your child will be entering in the fall, not their current grade.
