We will kick off our Terry Fox Run at an assembly on September 21st to honour our West Vancouver Police Department and RCMP members that will be participating in the tremendous bike ride known as ‘Cops for Cancer’.   Following that, our actual run will take place between 10:50am-12:00 noon on September 29th.  We will be supported by parent Meyrick Jones and Innovative Fitness staff, as well as by our generous PAC who has offered to provide a healthy snack for our runners.  We thank both groups in advance.  Parents are welcome to come out to the field (rain or shine) that day and cheer on our students and/or participate in the run/walk.  Students/parents can donate directly at http://www.terryfox.ca/PaulineJohnsonElementary

 

Community Build  Weekend – Saturday and Sunday, Sept 24 -25

As you know in the PJ playground is well underway in being transformed into the PJ Outdoor Learning & Community Park. This multi-use outdoor environment with a flagship design for educational innovation at École Pauline Johnson including a performance amphitheatre, an outdoor classroom, biodiversity rain garden, community gardens, a new Kindergarten area, a bird sanctuary as well as a new sand pit. The PJ Outdoor Learning & Community Park is getting close to completion of Phase One but now we need your help to plant the wetlands. Sign up here:
