Traffic Safety

Please familiarize yourself with road signage, and be a considerate and safe driver around the school.

If you’d like to help during periodic traffic safety campaigns, please visit our Volunteer page to sign up.

Let’s all commit to these simple rules to improve the experience for everyone:

Drop-Off Procedure: (see map above)
Aim for a swift drop-off in the two drop-off locations by the school, ideally under 60 seconds, to keep traffic flowing.
While in these areas, DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CAR to walk your kid to school. No Exception! No matter what grade your child is in!
Briefly exiting the car for farewells is acceptable; however, promptly re-enter, signal, and depart.
Please advance your vehicle to the front of the queue, if feasible, to make space for additional cars to join behind you.
Avoid making illegal U-turns. No Exception!
Encourage children to quickly make their way to the playground after exiting the vehicle.
Refrain from phone use or lingering after drop-off to maintain efficiency in designated zones.
Leave 5-10 minutes earlier to avoid feeling rushed and taking uneccessary risks

TIP: Avoid all the traffic and headache all together and park a couple of blocks away from the school, then have a nice short walk with your child!

Pedestrian Guidelines:
Prioritize safety by utilizing crosswalks whenever possible.
Group crossings are encouraged for added visibility and safety.
Young children should hold an adult’s hand while crossing.
Proceed across streets promptly to minimize traffic disruption.
Assist in traffic flow by allowing vehicles to clear intersections before crossing.
Refrain from phone use while crossing the street!

Being Considerate Neighbors:
Recognize the impact of school traffic on local residents.
Avoid blocking driveways completely or partially to respect neighbors’ schedules.
Acknowledge that our neighbors have daily commitments just like us.

Thank you for your cooperation and support!
